INSPIRE is a choreography competition where dancers step into the role of choreographer, creating and performing their own original routines.

This is a special Studio Phoenix Dance event designed to build creativity, confidence and performance skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

INSPIRE is open to Studio Phoenix dancers and invited guest dancers from the local community. Guest dancers are welcome to enter and experience the Studio Phoenix Dance environment.

HOW IT WORKS

Dancers create their choreography over the holidays, developing their own original routine.

The afternoon begins with a group technique and performance workshop, where dancers can refine their choreography with teacher guidance.

This is followed by the INSPIRE Competition, where dancers perform their routines in front of our judging panel.

Awards are presented for each age group, along with special awards for creativity and musicality.

• Solo, Duo or Trio entries
• Any dance style welcome
• Maximum routine length: 1–1.5 minutes

$30 per dancer

DRESS CODE

To ensure fairness and focus on choreography:

• Plain black dancewear OR Studio Phoenix uniform
• No costumes or coloured outfits

MUSIC

Music must be submitted prior to the event.
